As we pause to reflect on the past year, Northeastern Illinois University has a lot to be thankful for. We’re proud to have students and employees learning and working safely on campus. We’re appreciative of all who have worked so hard throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to get us to this point. We’re thankful for an optimistic outlook for the next generation of NEIU scholars, especially with the expansion of the NEIU For You scholarship. NEIU For You launched in Spring 2021 and covered the cost of one year of tuition for first-year, full-time incoming freshmen. It is now expanding to support students financially through the first four years of a bachelor’s degree.

On Nov. 18, Northeastern Illinois University’s Board of Trustees approved the renewal and expansion of the NEIU For You scholarship! After an extensive national search, Northeastern Illinois University has named Kimberley Buster-Williams as its new Vice President for Enrollment Management. She will start on Jan. 3.

Northeastern’s University President gives a State of the University Address each year. This year’s Address is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 26 and will take place both in person and via livestream! For the second year in a row, Northeastern Illinois University’s Golden Gala and Alumni Awards Ceremony is going virtual! Everyone is invited to join the celebration honoring four alumni and a current student for their contributions to their communities, and place bids in an online auction for items, including trips and tours.
