Northeastern Illinois University has established a second social justice award program. A STEM scholarship webinar and transfer student webinar will take place this week and alumni are doing great work in Chicago’s communities.

Northeastern Illinois University has launched the Social Justice Leadership Housing Award, President Gloria J. Gibson announced on June 24. The award is a new leadership program for students who positively impact their university, career and communities. Students participating in the program will be given one year's free housing in The Nest, Northeastern’s on-campus apartments, while taking a first-year seminar during their first semester and while participating in a series of leadership workshops during their second semester.

Northeastern Illinois University President Gloria J. Gibson has announced the creation of the George Floyd Social Justice Scholarship to invest in students who will become community leaders and promote social justice.
