Stewardship events are vital to the communication stream between the University and our donors. These donor-centered events allow the University to demonstrate to donors how their investments have been responsibly managed, and serve as a platform for donors to hear upcoming University and Foundation goals and plans.
The Northeastern Illinois University Foundation ensures that the resources entrusted with it are carefully and responsibly managed. We adhere to the Donor’s Bill of Rights, as well as to all pertinent state and federal laws that govern non-profits and contributions. In addtion to stewardship events, another expression of our stewardship is the annual financial review performed by an independent auditor. We also publish information about our investments in the annually produced President's Report; you can request a copy be mailed to you at email@example.com or call (773) 442-4210.

the Annual Meeting of the NEIU Foundation
Scheduled for October, this is an important opportunity for donors to learn more about the University and the Foundation. During this event, the Foundation provides a review of important accomplishments and shares important financial information. In addition, donors interact with others who are contributing to the University’s mission and have access to key, institutional leadership.
Special Fundraising Events
This event is Northeastern’s longest-running event, honoring the memory of beloved Northeastern Illinois University coach Chuck Kane. Each year more than 120 golfers hit the links to raise significant dollars for the Kane Scholarships. To date, the Kane Scholarships have supported nearly 150 students.
Mini-Kane Mini-Golf Outing
Our annual mini-golf tournament is held all over Northeastern's Main Campus plus additional holes at the Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies and El Centro locations. The tournament raises funds and awareness for the annual Chuck Kane Scholarship Golf Event. All proceeds support NEIU Foundation student scholarships.
