Chicago Brass Festival
Founded by Dr. Travis Heath, the Chicago Brass Festival has been proud to host world-renowned performers annually and is dedicated to presenting quality concerts, master classes, and educational events. Past performers include: The Mnozil Brass, The American Brass Quintet, Christopher Martin, John Hagstrom, Gene Pokorny, Charlie Vernon, The Spanish Brass, The Boston Brass, Rex Richardson, Wycliffe Gordon, The Presidents Own Marine Band Brass Quintet, Oystein Baadsvik, Robbert Vos, B3+, The Burning River Brass, CALJE, Don Rader, John Almeida, Carole Nowicki, M5 Mexican Brass, Septura and more.
Chicago Chamber Music Festival
Founded in 2012 by Dr. Susan Tang, as the Chicago Piano Festival, the Chicago Chamber Music Festival, co-directed by Dr. Tang and Dr. Jaime Gorgojo, takes place each August and is geared toward piano and string students ages 12 through senior year in high school to assist with the development of their inherent musical talent and instincts. Days are filled with private lessons, coaching of chamber music ensembles, practice time, master classes and performances by faculty and guest artists, student recitals and more.
