our story
The NEIU Center of Health was founded in 2020 to increase NEIU's research capacity as part of the mission of the Chicago Cancer Health Equity Collaborative (ChicagoCHEC). ChicagoCHEC is a larger U54 grant and collaboration between NEIU, UIC, and NU. The ChicagoCHEC partnership started in 2015. The NEIU Center of Health with ChicagoCHEC has produced over 70 community engagement events and activities, including the annual community forum.
