Northeastern Illinois University students Gabriela Mata and Claudia Xoy have been selected for the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) Undergraduate Fellowship Program (NUFP).
When accepted into the program, students are then known as fellows and have opportunities for scholarships, on-campus mentorship and professional development events.
Mata is a senior with a double major in Spanish and Latino and Latin American Studies. She also is the undergraduate student intern for Student Leadership Development. Mata is on course to graduate in May and plans to attend graduate school in higher education.
Claudia Xoy is a junior with a major in Elementary Education and Bilingual/ Bicultural Studies. She works as a student manager at the Information Center, Student Union Events and Conferences Services.
