Three of the seven Northeastern Illinois University students who attended the LSAMP Spring Symposium in STEM came home with awards.
The award winners were:
- Cesar Bustos, undergraduate student in Physics, second place in physics poster presentation undergraduate category
- Oscar Herrera, graduate in Chemistry, first place in chemistry poster presentation graduate category
- Fernando Limon, undergraduate in Psychology, first place in science education undergraduate category
The symposium, which took place Feb. 27-28 in Tinley Park, was attended by 225 students.
