Northeastern Illinois University will host an international clarinet ensemble competition on Saturday, Oct. 18.
The competition, which will include a variety of groups from across the United States and one from Colombia, will take place in the Auditorium at Northeastern, 3701 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Chicago.
The competition features a grand prize of $1,000 and will be judged by Omega Clarinet Quartet, which performs in the Auditorium the day before.
The event begins at 3 p.m. and is free for audience members and open to the public. Parking will be available in Lot F.
