Northeastern Illinois University will participate in Bridges to Employment from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on March 30 in the Golden Eagles room on the Main Campus, 3701 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Chicago.
Held at four locations across the state, the free Bridges to Employment events assemble executives and senior managers from the public and private sectors to engage with veterans in panel discussions that focus on the unique strengths that veterans can leverage to meet employers’ needs. Veterans, who are encouraged to dress in business professional attire, will have the opportunity to connect with professionals and hone essential networking skills.
As veterans increasingly take advantage of post-secondary education benefits, the Illinois chapter of Student Veterans of America, in partnership with the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning, developed the Bridges to Employment seminar program to equip veterans with the skills and connections necessary to navigate the employment landscape and successfully transition to the civilian workforce.
Register online. Complimentary parking will be available on the fifth floor of the Parking Facility.
