Northeastern Illinois University Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Daniel Lopez will attend CPS DREAMer Information Day to help immigrant students with their college and career planning.
The free event, which is open to all Chicago Public Schools students and their families, will take place from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Sept. 13, at Curie Metro High School, 4959 S. Archer Ave.
The event will feature a college and resource fair, a college admissions and financial aid presentation, and a workshop by immigration service providers on legal assistance to immigrant students. It will include Spanish-speaking presentations for parents.
A second CPS DREAMer Information Day is planned for 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Oct. 18, at George Westinghouse College Prep, 3223 W. Franklin Blvd.
