Northeastern Illinois University Special Education Associate Professor Mickie Wong-Lo has been elected to the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Board of Directors. Her three-year term began on Jan. 1, 2016.
As an active nine-year CEC member, Wong-Lo has held various volunteer leadership positions, including serving as the Diverse Ethnic and Multicultural Representative for the CEC Board of Directors and serving on the publication committee for the Council for Children with Behavioral Disorders. She also is the faculty sponsor for the Student Council for Exceptional Children at Northeastern Illinois University.
