Northeastern Illinois University is pleased to participate in the Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity (ECACE). This statewide consortium provides scholarships to NEIU Early Childhood Education majors who are currently working or who have worked in position such as teacher, assistant or director in early childhood centers, schools and homes and pledge to work in Illinois after the completion of their program. The scholarships can be applied towards tuition but also costs such as room and board, books and supplies.
During the 2024-2025 academic year, this scholarship is available to freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors who are declared Early Childhood majors. Students who previously received an ECACE Scholarship will receive priority consideration, as will students with high financial need. The anticipated award amount for 2024-25 is $7,500.
The priority deadline for 2024-2025 application is Aug. 11, 2024. Please visit the ECACE Scholarship website for more information and to apply. Please note that applications will be accepted throughout the academic year and funding will be awarded until all funding has been distributed.
