Sueños Enlazados (LINKED DREAMS): An Evening Of Undocumented Student Awareness
Please join ENLACE Cohort 8 on Dec. 1 from 6:30-10 p.m. in Alumni Hall for an evening of undocumented student awareness. Enjoy a casual dinner, wine, and entertainment while learning about topics such as DACA, the Illinois Trust Act SB31, and college access for undocumented immigrant students in Illinois post-DACA. This event will also promote awareness of the issues surrounding our NEIU undocumented student communities and the challenges they face in the pursuit of degree attainment in higher education.
The NEIU ENLACE program (Master's in Educational Leadership: Higher Education concentration) is eager to advocate for our undocumented students and ensure they feel welcome and safe. While undocumented students may attend college in Illinois, they cannot legally receive federal financial aid, including federal loans, Pell grants, or work-study money. Northeastern is committed to supporting undocumented students, and your ticket purchase to Sueños Enlazados (or other contribution to the Undocumented Student Fund) will enable Northeastern to better serve our undocumented students.
*Parking on campus is complimentary all evening for event guests.
