Let’s talk about the Division of Marketing and Communications, and why we have incorporated Marq (formerly Lucidpress) into our design and production process. The division’s primary responsibility is to attract external audiences to the University. Most of that audience is made up of prospective students, but can also include donors, alumni and the surrounding community. With a growing workload and increased emphasis on external outreach, this effort has led to a shift in how we are able to focus on internal communications. With the introduction of the University Events Calendar, the need to promote internal events drastically increased, as well as the need for more variety.
Accessing Marq Templates
NEIU’s internal community now has access to templates designed by our team for ease in creating materials for event-based or departmental needs. The Microsoft Word and InDesign templates that existed on this page have been moved over to Marq. We've also added over 40 branded designs to offer more variety in choice and customization.
For onboarding assistance, we created a Lucidpress User Manual to get things started. This manual will instruct users on accessing NEIU's templates, editing, reviewing, and downloading/printing.
PowerPoint templates are not in Marq. They are still available for download on this page.
Please note: If you do not have a University login for Marq, please contact marketing@neiu.edu for credentials. There are currently a limited amount of licenses available, so they have been assigned in groups (shared logins) to accommodate all areas of the University.
Printing Final Products
Most templates can be printed directly through Marq, but users will have the option to download the files and print with an external vendor of their choice.
