edTPA Logo

edTPA™ is an assessment process that requires teacher candidates to demonstrate they have the skills to help all students learn. edTPA was developed by teachers and teacher educators from 22 states and 160 institutions of higher education for use nationwide.

Teacher candidates are required to submit a student  teaching portfolio that include lesson plans, video clips, commentaries and student  work samples. The portfolio should explain your work behind each of  these tasks:

  • Planning for Instruction and Assessment
  • Instructing and Engaging Students in Learning
  • Assessing Student Learning
