In order to keep Northeastern Illinois University’s parking facilities safe and accessible, the following rules are in place on the Main Campus from December through March:
- Overnight parking in all surface lots is prohibited from 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. seven days a week. Overnight parking is allowed only within the Parking Facility, on Floors 1 through 4, and is subject to the posted Gold and Blue Zone parking restrictions.
- Floor 5 (the top level) of the Parking Facility is closed. Floors 1 through 4 remain open. Individuals with Green Zone parking permits are permitted to park on Floor 4 when the winter parking rules are in effect. In addition, Green Zone permit holders may park in Lot L between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. All parkers are reminded that certain sections of the Parking Facility are designated for Gold Zone parkers only.
