Welcome to Northeastern Illinois University!

We are delighted that you will be joining us for the Fall 2017 semester. New international students are required to participate in Orientation sessions conducted by the Office of International Programs.

During Orientation, you will receive useful information and resources to help you during your transition to Northeastern Illinois University. You will also be provided with information on how to maintain your visa status, and be taken on a campus tour. Please locate the appropriate Orientation(s), from the list below.

SAELL STUDENTS

SAELL students must (1) attend the SAELL Welcome and Orientation event, (2) take the TOEFL exam, and or the Writing exam (3) attend an Orientation regarding maintaining F-1 visa status. Students will get to know their instructors, and will be part of a presentation about the program's objectives and organization.

Students are expected to arrive 30 minutes before the exam starts. Once the exam has started, no students will be allowed in the room.
