Join us in an effortless practice of healing, restoration, and rejuvenation through the practice of Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra can be defined as "Conscious Sleep." There are no difficult poses, and you cannot do it wrong. Simply lay comfortably on your back or sitting in a chair, and you will be guided through varying breathing, body awareness, and relaxation techniques to progressively enter into a deep relaxed awareness. In this meditative state it is easy to disengage from negative mental talk and detach from unconscious habit patterns that may be limiting your life. In this state lays the power of the body to heal itself is magnified. Forty minutes of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to about 3.5 hours of deep sleep. This systemic process provides deep relaxation and stress relief on physical, mental, and emotional levels. In this deepened state we can insert positive affirmations to replace habitual thought patterns.
