Introduction

The Forensic Accounting minor prepares students with accounting and auditing knowledge, and legal and investigative skills. Forensic accounting explores fraud prevention and detection within business practices.

Students in the minor use tools and best practices to understand and interpret financial statements to identify fraudulent behavior. Students also examine types of account fraud, criminal conduct and ethical concepts to build on foundational skills.

The Forensic Accounting minor complements a variety of bachelor’s degrees, such as Finance, Management, and Economics.

The College of Business and Technology has a set of well-established Program Learning Goals and Learning Objectives across all programs that are assessed on a periodic basis. The College of Business and Technology is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and is among the top five percent of the worldwide business schools offering degree programs.
