The Center for Academic Writing

The Center for Academic Writing is the home of the Writing Intensive Program (WIP) and provides support to both faculty and students at Northeastern.

The Center for College Access & Success

The Center for College Access and Success develops collaborative partnerships that engage entire communities to help students succeed both academically and socially.

Registrar Services

The Registrar Services area (including the Enrollment Services Center and the Offices of Registration, Undergraduate and Graduate Records and Veterans Services) supports students regarding registration, their academic record/transcript and veterans’ educational benefits.

The Ronald Williams Library

The Ronald Williams Library, located on the Main Campus and staffed with subject librarians, contains extensive collections and archives, study spaces, and computing equipment for use by students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors.

Academic Program Opportunities

The First-Year Experience

Northeastern integrates its First-Year Experience Program classes into the core freshman curriculum. In addition to focusing on regular coursework, these classes assist in the transition from high school to college, help improve your study habits and identify your unique learning style.

International Programs

International Programs provide our students with the opportunity to spend time abroad while earning degree credit through courses taught in English by international partner universities. International Programs also arranges student and professor and visiting scholar exchanges around the world.

Nontraditional Degree Programs

Nontraditional Degree Programs offer options and flexibility to returning adult students. Understanding the demands of career and family responsibilities, these programs equip adult learners with a pathway to succeed in an approved, individualized curriculum.

Continuing & Professional Education

THE OFFICE OF Community & PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

The Office of Community and Professional Education (CAPE) provides non-credit programs and workshops to faculty, staff and all the communities Northeastern serves.

Faculty & Staff Administrative Resources

The Center for Teaching & Learning

The Center for Teaching and Learning offers support to full- and part-time faculty members who want to refine their teaching skills, experiment with new instructional formats, and apply educational technologies in their classes.

The Office of Institutional Research & Assessment

The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment disseminates institutional data on students, faculty and academic programs; develops, standardizes and analyzes key University data in support of institutional planning, policymaking and external compliance; and provides assessment resources and houses assessment data from programs, colleges and the University.

The Office of the Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs

The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs oversees the administration of instruction, academic programs and academic support services of the University.

The Office of Research & Sponsored Projects

The Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP) supports faculty and staff in the pursuit of external funding that benefits Northeastern Illinois University, its faculty, and its students. ORSP also supports faculty and staff in managing grant-funded projects.
