Latino/a Resource Center

“You can cut all the flowers, but you cannot stop spring from coming” Pablo Neruda

The Latino/a Resource Center fosters an environment of transformative education that provides support, thought-provoking educational experiences, and participatory learning opportunities to increase retention and graduation for Latino/a students at Northeastern Illinois University.

Students engage in celebrations and authentic cultural dialogue around identity, unity, and a sense of pride of heritage that strengthens their cultural awareness.

The resource Center engages with community and educational institutions, in order to better assess and address the needs of Latino/a students, faculty, staff, administrators and alumni. The center is a gathering space for the Northeastern Illinois University community to make cultural connections and hosts programs that advocate for the needs and concerns of Latino/a students.
