Greeks Give Back – Sponsored by United Greek Council
$40 will sponsor a Thanksgiving Dinner for a local family that may not be able to afford a nice meal. Money may be turned into Student Activities office or at tables no later than Wed. Nov 18th at noon. Sponsors will be able to help pack the food on Fri. Nov. 20th and will deliver to their family on Sat. Nov. 21st between 10 am – noon.

Library Debt Forgiveness Food Drive
3 cans or boxes of food donated to the library will erase a $5 fine. All food collected will be donated to Greater Chicago Food Depository. Only good for late fees on returned books. Lost items not covered.

Sleep Out
10:00 pm – 6:00 am • In front of PE Complex
According to a 2006 study approximately 16,000 people are homeless on a given night in Chicago without access to shelter. Spend an evening sleeping outside on NEIU campus to raise personal awareness of what these people experience on a daily basis. Those participating are asked to seek people to sponsor them to spend night outside. All monies raised will be donated to Chicago Coalition for the Homeless

Day of Fasting

According to Oxfam over 854 million people world wide go hungry. Have you? Do you really know what it means to “be starving?” Participate in a day long fast and donate the money you would have spend on food today. All money raised will be donated to Greater Chicago Food Depository

Oxfam Hunger Banquet
5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

The Oxfam Hunger Banquet is an impactful event that will make you think about your station in life. Come join us for a meal you are sure to remember. $5 minimum donation. All money raised will be donated to Oxfam America
This event has limited seating. To register visit Student Activities website or sign up at tables in Village Square.

Come help pack the Thanksgiving meals that will be handed out to local families in need of a Thanksgiving Meal. For more info on how to sponsor a family see Greeks Give Back or visit table in Village Square.

saturday

Greeks Give Back Food Distribution
10:00 am – Noon
Families around NEIU campus
Meet up at campus and pick up your box of food to take to the family you sponsored.
