POTANTIAL ENERGY

The energy produced by the breaking down of the atom is a very poor kind of thing. Anyone who expects a source of power from the transformation of these atoms is talking moonshine.

-Ernest Rutherford

  potantial energy is related with the object's height and mass,

and it could be calculated by this formula;

U=potential energy, m=mass of the object, h=height of the object

g=gravitational force (g = 9.81 m/s2 = 32.2 ft/s2)

\,\Delta U = mg \Delta h.\
