Every semester, the Learning Support Center holds a number of workshops and takes part in several events geared toward students' success. Our featured events are listed below. In addition to our programming, faculty, staff, and student groups can request workshops on our Workshops Request Form page.
Long Night Against Procrastination
Oct. 19, 7 p.m. - 12 a.m. in the Pedroso Center
The Long Night Against Procrastination is an event held once per semester by the Learning Support Center, Center for Academic Writing, Ronald Williams Library, and Campus Recreation. Tutors of all disciplines and a reference librarian are available after hours (usually 7 p.m. - 12 a.m.) to help you get ahead in your school work.
Lunch & Learn: Pop-Up Tutoring
Every Monday from 12 - 2 p.m. in the Student Union on the 2nd floor.
Starting this fall 2016 semester, the LSC will be hosting pop-up tutoring on the 2nd floor of the Student Union on Mondays from 12 - 2 p.m. Writing and math tutors will be available to assist students while they're having lunch, because we know how busy students can be. Lunch & Learn is another resource students can use to achieve their academic success, even if they're crunched for time.
Kickstart College: Workshop Week
Each fall in the Learning Support Center
Each fall the Learning Support Center hosts a week of workshops called Kickstart College. Kickstart College is aimed at students invested in improving their academic success. Each day has a different theme related to learning strategies.
