Diverse - Issues in Higher Education Rankings

Northeastern is among the top universities in the nation in the number of baccalaureate and master's degrees earned by students of diverse ethnic backgrounds, according to the June 9, 2011, and July 7, 2011, issues of Diverse - Issues in Higher Education's annual publication of the "Top Degree Producers 2011."

The rankings for baccalaureate degrees in each discipline are:

  • Education by Asian Americans: 18th
  • Education by Hispanics: 18th
  • Public Administration and Social Service Professions by Hispanics: 20th
  • Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities by Hispanics: 28th
  • Foreign Languages, Literatures and Linguistics by Hispanics: 29th
  • Education by all minorities: 30th
  • History by Hispanics: 31st
  • Finance and Financial Management Services by Asian Americans: 35th
  • Finance and Financial Management Services by Hispanics: 35th
  • Public Administration and Social Service Professions by all minorities: 36th
  • Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities by all minorities: 37th
  • Accounting and Related Services by Hispanics: 41st
  • Marketing by Asian Americans: 41st
  • Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting and Related Protective Services by Hispanics: 45th
  • Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities by Asian Americans: 46th
  • Finance and Financial Management Services by all minorities: 49th
  • All disciplines by Hispanics: 69th

  • Area, Ethnic, Cultural, Gender and Group Studies by all minorities: 2nd
  • Foreign Languages, Literatures and Linguistics by Asian Americans: 7th
