Different Campus Locations
Because of our diverse population, Northeastern Illinois University has campuses throughout Chicago and in Lake County. We offer undergraduate courses at all campuses and may use the same admission application, regardless of which campus you choose to attend. If you are wondering which campus host specific classes, make sure to consult our schedule of classes. Regardless of which campus you attend, all students receive quality services and the same level of excellence of instruction from our faculty.
Foster Campus - 5500 North St. Louis
The Foster Campus spans over 67 acres and has over 18 buildings. It is the location for the majority of services and courses offered for students attending Northeastern Illinois University. The Foster Campus is located in Albany Park, just twenty minutes from downtown Chicago. This location houses Enrollment Services, which includes service such as admissions, financial aid, scholarships, and registration. In addition, you will find other facilities like the Student Health Center, Physical Education Building, the Roland Williams Library, Stage Theater, Beck's Book Store and more.
El Centro - 3119 North Pulaski
El Centro is located on Chicago's northwest side, just four miles south of the Foster Campus. This campus location provides educational, career, and cultural opportunities primarily, though not exclusively, to the Latino community, through evening hours and on weekends.
Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies - 700 East Oakwood
Located on Chicago's south side, the Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies was created to address the concerns of the inner city. The Center was renamed in 2004 to honor Dr. Jacob H. Carruthers, ond of the world's leading experts in classical African civilizations, who taught at the Center from 1969 until 2000.
