Salvador Rodriguez Bio

Salvador was born in Mexico and immigrated to the United States in 2002. He went to North Chicago Community High School as a first generation high school student where he graduated with honors in 2005. From there he went on to the College of Lake County to obtain his A.A. On campus he participated in the Latino Alliance club. As a member Salvador found speaking to fellow students about the importance college and establishing career goals most rewarding while a member. He began his involvement in the Peer Mentor program on that campus where he was able to assist students with campus resources such as the Counseling Center, the Financial Aid department, and the Math and Writing Center and to get acclimated with student activities. Salvador graduated from CLC in the Fall of 2010 and transferred to the NEIU. He is currently a Psychology with a minor in Social Work. From here, Salvador would like to earn a Ph.D. and become a counselor.
