Campus Locations
Because of our diverse population, Northeastern Illinois University has campuses throughout Chicago and in Lake County. We offer undergraduate courses at all campuses and may use the same admission application, regardless of which campus you choose to attend.
If you are wondering which campus hosts specific classes, make sure to consult our schedule of classes. Regardless of which campus you attend, all students receive quality services and the same level of excellence of instruction from our faculty.
Foster Campus - Main Campus Students can take the brown line El train to the Kimball terminal to find Albany Park, home to the Foster Campus. The Foster Campus is located near Foster and St. Louis Avenue at 5500 North St. Louis Avenue. Our campus is located among bungalow homes within a quite residential neighborhood. This 67 acre campus provides students with ample parking. Here students can find the Physical Education Complex, the Ronald Williams Library, the newly named Lech Walesa Hall and even the campus bookstore. You can also find Enrollment Services, home to the Office of Admissions, Financial Aid, Scholarships and Registration.
The Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (CCICS) Located on Chicago’s south side at 700 East Oakwood Boulevard, the Carruthers Center was created to address the concerns of the inner city. Studies at CCICS are distinguished by their interdisciplinary nature in the social sciences and humanities with an emphasis on ethnic and racial issues as they apply to basic urban studies.
NEIU- El Centro NEIU-El Centro is located in the northwest side of Chicago at 3119 North Pulaski, just four miles south of the Bryn Mawr campus. Students at NEIU-El Centro have access to a higher education environment with modern facilities and high quality university and technical resources, including a state of the art computer laboratories equipped with PCs and Macintosh computers. All the classes at NEIU-El Centro are taught in English, with the exception of the language courses. Upon completion of the general education program, students enroll at the main campus to fulfill their major requirements. In addition to the courses offered for academic credit, non-credit offerings such as lecture series, seminars, and workshops are held throughout the academic year. Northeastern Illinois University-El Centro campus provides educational, career, and cultural opportunities primarily, though not exclusively, to the Latino community.
University Center of Lake County NEIU also offers courses at the University Center of Lake County, a unique partnership of eighteen Illinois colleges and universities. Northeastern offers courses from it’s B.A. in Pyschology, M.A. in Special Education and M.A. in Educational Leadership.
