Welcome New and Continuing Students
The Office of Enrollment Services, including Academic Advising, Financial Aid, Scholarships and Bursar Services is open 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM on Friday.
These offices will also be open on Saturday, August 25 and Sept 1 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
Office of Enrollment Services
- Fall Classes begin Saturday, August 25th and weekday classes begin August 28 th .
- E-mail is the official means for communication at NEIU. The University will send important communications to students via official NEIU e-mail accounts only. It is recommended that students check their e-mail regularly as some communications may be time-sensitive.
- The last day to drop a Fall 2012 courses with a 100% refund, no grade issued is August 23, 2012.
Financial Aid Office
- You can check your financial aid status using your NEIUport account under the Current Student tab. The 'Financial Aid Awards' channel reflects grants, scholarships and loan information. The 'Financial Aid Requirements' channel reflects any outstanding documents with a red flag. Take note to select the 2012- 2013 award year.
- Fall Registration Payment Due Date: The deadline to 'confirm' your Fall, 2012 registration so that your courses will not be dropped is Thursday, August 23. For those FAFSA applicants with outstanding documents who are also receiving alerts from Student Accounts Receivable to make a down payment, you may be eligible to receive a Temporary Confirmation Waiver in the place of that down payment from the Financial Aid Office
- For those FAFSA applicants with grants, scholarships and loan information reflected for amounts greater than $350, those financial aid funds will 'confirm' your Fall, 2012 registration. There is no need for a down payment or a Temporary Confirmation Waiver.
- If you are a new student, please ensure that the 'Title IV Authorization' and the 'Official High School Transcript' requirements both have green check marks under 'Financial Aid’.
Bursar Services/ Cashier’s Office
- You can pay your bill online from your Current Student tab in NEIUport. For full instructions, check out the Important Information for Students channel in NEIUport.
- If you have not made the appropriate initial payment or do not have authorized financial aid, you must make a payment (or have authorized financial aid) by the evening of August 23 so that your classes are not dropped for nonpayment on August 24.
