E-mail is the official means for communication at NEIU. The University will send communications to students via official NEIU e-mail accounts only. It is recommended that students check their e-mail regularly as some communications may be time-sensitive. Examples of the types of communication you may receive are:
- Notification of courses that have been cancelled or have had changes in meeting information
- Notification of tuition payment due dates
- Announcement of registration dates
- Communication with your class instructors
- Courtesy and overdue notices for Library materials
- Interlibrary loan service via ILIad to request books and journal articles
Your NEIU E-mail account allows you to:
- Send and retrieve e-mail
- Access the Ronald Williams Library Databases from an off-campus location
- Access Blackboard
- Create a personal web page which can be viewed on the Internet from anywhere in the world
- Store files online within your account
