Salute to Graduates
ALL MAY 2013 GRADUATES ARE INVITED to attend the Salute to Graduates. At the Salute you can learn about the benefits and services offered to NEIU Alumni, get career placement assistance, order a class ring and graduation announcements, pick up your Commencement tickets and more!

The following offices and vendors will be available at the Salute to help with all of your Commencement needs:
Alumni Association
Learn about all the benefits and services you will receive as an alumnus/alumna of the University, including information about the NEIU Alumni Association. Take a moment to fill out a brief survey during the Salute and you will automatically be entered into a drawing for some incredible prizes (you do not need to be present to win).
Career Advising
Whether you are using your degree to start a new career, enhance your current position, or to change careers, we can help you move closer to your goals in a variety of different ways. Our website has numerous resources like College Central Network, our NEIU job board, and Perfect Interview, a simulated interview program that helps you to become a more confident interviewer. We also offer help with resumes, cover letters, networking including LinkedIn, and much more, via individual appointments, workshops and drop-in hours. Check our website for more information about how to access these services! Services are FREE for both students and alumni.
Class Gift Program
The Class Gift Program allows graduates to make a donation for NEIU student scholarships.
Graduate College
The NEIU graduate degree program offers over 30 areas of study and the majority of classes are held in the late afternoon or evening to accommodate students pursuing a degree on a part-time basis.
Office of Student Union, Event and Conference Services
At the Office of Student Union, Event and Conference Services you can get your graduation tickets, commencement information, directions, and requests for special needs. You must present your student I.D. card to receive tickets.
Central Valley Portrait Studio
Central Valley Portrait Studio will take commencement portraits at the Salute to Graduates and on Commencement Day. If you choose to have your picture taken, you will be given a cap and gown to wear. Central Valley Studios will mail you a free proof of your portrait and you can then decide whether or not to order pictures. Northeastern Illinois University does not take, collect, store or sell photos for individual graduates.
New This Year
Dress in business attire and you can also take a PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOT to use for online professional profiles, such as LinkedIn.
