Dr. Roger Gilman
Retired Email: Roger.Gilman@wwu.edu Roger Gilman is the Dean of Fairhaven College, Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. Prior to that he was Associate Professor of Philosophy and Coordinator of the Program in Philosophy at Northeastern, and the Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. His graduate degrees are in the History of Science, the Philosophy of Science, and Ethics - all from the University of Chicago. He specializes in evolutionary and ecological theory. His research is located at the interface of biology and ethics - in environmental, medical, biotechnology, and research ethics. He is currently finishing a book in the philosophy of biology called The Ecology of Value: an outline of the system of values in nature.
