Minor in Justice Studies
The Justice Studies Department has two minors:
• Minor in Social Justice • Minor in Criminology
1. Minor in Social Justice
Required Courses:
JUST 101 Introduction to Social Justice (3cr) JUST 202 Justice and Inequalities (3cr) JUST 241 Skills for Inquiry (3cr) JUST 301 Theories of Justice and Social Change (3cr)
Electives: Two Electives (6cr)
Choose any two electives from the course listings in the Program You may also use the recommended courses below:
JUST 321: Violence Against Women (3cr) JUST 331: Law and Racism in America (3cr) JUST 315: Prsm: Law and Ideology (3cr) JUST 315: Prsm: Justice and Liberty Issues Africa (3cr) JUST 337: Community Law (3cr) Total Credits hours for the Minor in Social Justice (18cr)
Note: The program will accept a maximum of three (3) transfer credit hours in Criminology from other colleges and/or universities towards the minor, subject to approval by the department Chair.
