Numerous professors and students in the Geography and Environmental Studies department have not only inspired me to achieve my best every day but have also challenged me in how I think and interact with others.
The services and faculty at NEIU have given me the opportunity to explore my career and personal interests in an open-minded and supportive way. I’ve interacted with countless professors who have instilled both the knowledge and skills necessary for me to flourish at the University.
Because of NEIU, and specifically Dr. Alex Peimer, I was able to obtain an internship through the Chicagoland Environmental Network. And from that j ob, I was able to get another internship with the state of Indiana for the summer of 2023.
With my degree, I’ll be able to enter the field of environmental management, environmental consultation, research and other related fields that combine science with real-world social problems."
