Rigorous, experience-based learning
You will get both in-depth instruction and hands-on practical experience at Northeastern. We offer more than 80 rigorous undergraduate and graduate programs in the arts, sciences, education, and business. We integrate classroom instruction with field-based learning, research and service–both locally and globally.
Northeastern’s world-class faculty are committed to your success. Personal and long-term interactions with faculty are fundamental to the educational experience at Northeastern. Small classes are taught by faculty who are experts in their fields–with a 15 to 1 student faculty ratio. The faculty emphasize community connections and individual support for your educational goals.
At Northeastern, you will find yourself among a welcoming and diverse population of students who are as serious about their education as you are. Northeastern offers an inclusive learning environment and specific support for veterans; international students; undocumented students; Latina/o, African American, and Asian American students; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender students; women students; returning adult and transfer students; and students with disabilities.
Access to Excellence
We believe that finances, geography, life circumstances should not be a barrier to excellent college education. Affordability and flexibility–night and weekend classes, multiple locations–are a high priority. Personalized help with financial aid and scholarship options are available. Northeastern has the lowest percentage of graduates with student loan debt.
We know you are looking for enriching experiences outside the classroom, too. You’ll have more than 100 student organizations focusing on academics, culture, faith, Greek-letter, political/social justice, and special interests to choose from. We encourage you to engage mind and body at our Physical Education Complex, which includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, gym, high ropes course, climbing wall, and Olympic-size pool.
Northeastern is family friendly and community-oriented. Our campuses are located in several parts of the city, each with a different character.
