Research with Human Subjects at Northeastern Illinois University
When conducting research involving human subjects, it is required that proper procedures be followed. Approval by Northeastern’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) is required before the start of any research involving human subjects at Northeastern. Retroactive review and approval of studies involving human subjects is not allowed. Research conducted without IRB approval is considered noncompliant with human subjects regulations and NEIU policies. Continuing review by the IRB is required for all non-exempt human subjects research.
