Assistant professor, communication, media and theatre, earned her Ph.D. and M.A. in theatre research from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and a B.A. in theatre and English from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. Her research interests include the intersection of nation, nationalism, and theatre. Her critical and scholarly work has appeared in SETC's Theatre Symposium, Theatre Journal, and the American Journal of Drama and Theatre. She also specializes in the use of drama and theatre as a teaching and learning medium. She is the Education Director of Endstation Theatre Company in Amherst, VA, and has worked as a teaching artist in New York City and Virginia.
