NEIU to Host 3rd Annual NETT Day Conference
Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) will host the third annual Empowerment Through Technology (NETT) Day Conference, “Social Media and Global Education,” on Thursday, Oct. 25.
NETT Day 3 will be located at Northeastern Illinois University’s main campus, 5500 N. St. Louis Ave. in Chicago. The conference will begin at 9:25 a.m. and conclude with a keynote presentation by Jamie Notter and Maddie Grant at 7 p.m. Notter and Grant will speak about their book “Humanize: How People-Centric Organizations Succeed in a Social World.”
In addition to Notter and Grant, other speakers will be Jim Treleaven, president and CEO of Via Strategy Group, LLC, and Fred McMurray, champion of social media for B2B companies and the CTO of Mediavine Marketing, a social media marketing company in the Chicagoland area. Amy Koran and Ashley Lepczyk from the education market at Google will also speak.
Afternoon workshop topics include Google+, Social Media and Personal Image, YouTube, Diversity and Social Media, Using Social Media for Activism, the Red Pump Project and Social Media Tools for Personal and Professional Development.
