“As we usher in observance of Black History Month, I encourage each of you within the Northeastern Illinois University community to engage in the array of celebrations and educational endeavors at our university and in the broader community,” said Interim President Katrina E. Bell-Jordan. “These events encompass discussions on the multifaceted history of race and inequality in America and offer us invaluable insights and learning opportunities.”
Under the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, the Angelina Pedroso Center for Diversity and Intercultural Affairs is the lead organizer of this month’s celebrations, which will primarily take place on the Main Campus and the Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (CCICS).
