Political Science Students:
Pi Sigma Alpha is an honor society for political science, with chapters in every state in the U.S. Membership in this society recognizes student academic achievement and future promise in the field of political science and offers opportunities for scholarships, awards, and professional networking. Applications are currently being accepted for new membership in Pi Sigma Alpha, Theta Lambda (NEIU) chapter. General requirements for membership include:
an overall GPA of 3.25
junior, senior or graduate student status
at least a “B” average in all political science courses
(undergraduate students) completion of at least ten semester-hours of political science courses (you do not have to be a political science major, but must meet this coursework requirement) with at least one upper division course (300-level)
(graduate students) completion of ten semester hours of graduate-level political science courses.
Your completed application forms should be submitted to Dr. Bae’s office or to her faculty mailbox. Applications will be evaluated by the chapter advisor and the department chair and a notice will be sent to you by email.
Applicants who are accepted into Pi Sigma Alpha are required to pay a one-time $30 fee for certification in the national chapter.
