Financial Aid and Scholarship Workshops at NEIU

Financial Aid and Scholarship Workshops to be Offered at Northeastern Illinois University
CHICAGO – In honor of February being designated Financial Aid Awareness Month (FAAM) and the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) challenging Illinois students and families to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) early, Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) will be holding three financial aid and scholarship workshops. These events are free and open to the public.
Workshops will be held at the NEIU El Centro Campus, 3119 N. Pulaski in Chicago, Feb 2, 9 a.m. to noon; NEIU Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies, 700 E. Oakwood Blvd. in Chicago, Feb. 8, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; NEIU Main Campus, 3701 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Chicago, Lech Walesa Hall room 1001, Feb. 9, 9 a.m. to noon.
NEIU will also be co-sponsoring a workshop with the University Center, 1200 University Dr., Grayslake, Ill. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Each workshop will offer financial planning tips and assistance in completing the 2013-2014 FAFSA. Participants will also learn about financial aid options and scholarship opportunities at NEIU.
Individuals who choose to attend should bring 2012 tax information, records of untaxed income, current bank statements, records of businesses, farm and assets, driver’s license/state identification, social security numbers for students and parents, and/or alien registration or permanent resident card.
